Deputy Clinical Manager (Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist)

Melbourne Child Development has followed families’ needs for over 20 years and grown from a Speech Pathology practice into a true multi-discipline team providing face to face and telehealth services.

We have been leaders in Allied Health practice in the ways we look after our staff and listen and respond to their ideas. Professional development is a high priority and we have an annual allowance for PD.

We are a preferred provider for our loyal network of paediatricians, other health professionals, teachers and parents.

Melbourne Child Development provides Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Psychology for children and their families from birth to young adulthood. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist to work with our Clinical Manager and Management Team. The Deputy Clinical Manager has their own caseload with time allocated to mentor and supervise clinicians, attend management meetings and work on projects and contribute ideas to the running of the business.

The goal is to support clinicians to develop self – leadership in fulfilling their roles whilst taking care of themselves and facilitating the business processes to enable this to happen. 

Skills and experience

The team at Melbourne Child Development is looking for a Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist with at least 5 years experience. Work in a paediatric private practice and/or management is an advantage.

We would like you to have good self-awareness and self -management skills, be in – tune with your work colleagues in order to support them, have a positive perspective and be open to learning. 

Proof of relevant qualifications and profession specific memberships are required.

Speech Pathologist (Including New Graduates)

We have a position available for a passionate, paediatric Speech Pathologist part or full time. The Speech Pathologist will have excellent communication and time management skills and be driven to empower families and children to reach their goals. New Graduates are welcome to apply.

Join our multidisciplinary team of 17 covering Speech Pathology, Psychology, Naturopathy, Occupational Therapy and dedicated administrative team based at our bright and freshly renovated Practice rooms in the inner east. We work  individually and in groups at our practice rooms and at schools.

Your Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or Masters in Speech Pathology
  • Speech Pathology Australia Membership
  • Professional Indemnity Cover and Public Liability Insurance
  • Fit2Work Police Check – not older than 3 months
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Australian driver’s license or ability to remain mobile in response to client needs
  • Right to work in Australia permanently without restrictions
